Wide Angle Adapter

I could google or read my manual, but can you answer this?

I have the canon A570 IS camera and I know I can get lenses for it, but what do I ask for? I think I need an adapter and I'd like a telephoto lense, what do I ask for? What about costs? Should I get a wide angle lense too? I take lots of scenery pics and lots of pics of my 19 mo old grandaughter.

If you are really starting to feel the need for wide angle and telephoto lenses, you probably are ready for some kind of an interchangeable lens DSLR instead of a point and shoot camera. The camera you have is an excellent picture taker when used properly, but is not designed or intended to accept extra lenses. If you add wide angle and telephoto accessories to your existing lens, the quality or the result will decrease since you are trying to make your lens do things it was not designed to do. Since you will be paying for accessories that will decrease the quality of your pictures, the concept does not make financial sense to me.
I suggest you either use the camera you have as it was designed to be used, or replace it with a camera that was designed to do the things you you want to do.
