I have a 18-200mm SLR digital camera Nikon Lens. What teleconverter would work best for this?
I have a 18-200mm SLR digital camera Nikon Lens.
I am looking for something that will let me zoom in a lot closer. Is there some sort of teleconverter I could get to attach to it? Or would I have to save up for a 400mm or 600mm lens?
You can get a 2X teleconverter which will essentially double your focal length to 400mm. In my opinion the autofocus slows down some but it isn't that bad. At 400mm you should definitely use either a tripod or monopod to steady the camera & lens

Nikon Lens

What Nikon lens should I use to shoot my daughter's cheerleading comps?
I have a Nikon D200 and would like to shoot my daughter's cheerleading competitions (indoor large arena type settings).
Can anyone reccomend a good lens for that, that isnt too expensive? Right now I only have one lens an 18-70 Thanks
Your lens is perfect for that if you can get within 25 feet or so. If you have to be further back, then you can get the 70-300mm VR ... the perfect addition to your camera.

Taking care of my nikon d40?
I recently got my nikon d40, but i'm still unsure about some things..
what's the safest way to clean the lens, and inside the camera? I seem to have gotten a spec on the inside mirror, and i'm not sure what to use to clean it... a cotton swab?
and also.. is it okay to keep the lens in every time you're done with it, or should they be removed everytime i put the camera away?
Take the lens off as little as possible. And then only in as clean an environment as you can. Clean lens elements with microfiber cloths or lens papers. Rarely if ever will you need cleaning solutions but if you do put it on the paper or cloth not directly on the lens or the camera. I would use gentle application of air to blow anything off the mirror
If you are not trained and thoroughly famuliar with how to clean a sensor and high pass filter then NEVER do it yourself have an authorized service center do it for you even though the manual shows you how.
Here is the manual for that camera. Caring for the camera starts on page 104
